The Arborist

Third-Generation.
25+ Years of Credentials.

Missouri Arborist Company is owned and operated by Chris Rippey, a third-generation, ISA Board Certified Master Arborist and ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist based in Sedalia, Missouri. Chris has over 25 years of experience in arboriculture, including 14 years as an arborist at Stanford University and 6 years as Arborist for Seattle Parks.

"As an ISA Board-Certified Master Arborist and Registered Consulting Arborist, the service that I offer you will be appropriate and reasonable. I perform the highest quality of tree work that you will find."

In 2019, Chris was named Arborist of the Year by the Pacific North-West chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture. His practice operates at the forensic and consulting end of arboriculture -- expert witness testimony, sonic tomography imaging, resistance drilling, and tree failure analysis -- services that most arborists do not offer and that require a level of diagnostic precision developed across decades of institutional practice.

Principles

What Guides Every Assessment

01

Credentials First

ISA Board Certified Master Arborist. ASCA Registered Consulting Arborist. Eight distinct certifications ensure every report meets the highest professional standard in the industry.

02

Scientific Precision

Sonic tomography, resistance drilling, DNA PCR lab testing, and ArboRadix root sensing replace guesswork with quantifiable data. The only arborist in Missouri offering sonic tomography imaging.

03

Independent Authority

Expert witness testimony and tree failure analysis delivered with no agenda. Reports that stand up in court filings and trials across Missouri, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Kansas, and Arkansas.

04

No Topping. No Stubs.

All pruning performed to ISA standards. No topping cuts, no stub cuts -- ever. The same standard applied at Stanford University and Seattle Parks for over two decades.
