It is a fact that tall trees will eventually fail. I have been Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) through the International Society of Arboriculture for over 12 years and can provide a tree risk assessment like those required to remove trees in municipalities.
These reports can also be passed off to a tree service vendor in your area so they can perform the proper care to your tree. ISA TRAQ assessments meeting municipal standards, with a clear action path for any local tree service.

Sonic Tomography Imaging
Sonic tomography performed with my Rinntech Arbotom will evaluate the condition of the wood in a cross section of your tree. This data will assess the strength loss due to decayed wood found in your tree. I am the only Arborist offering this tree service in the state of Missouri.
ArboStApp software works in conjunction with the ArboTom sonic tomography image to determine how much pruning, if any, is required to increase your tree's Relatively Safe Level -- a critical tool for determining whether a visibly defective tree should be removed or can be pruned and retained.

Resistance Drilling
Resistance drilling performed with my IML-RESI 300 will quantify the amount of decayed wood inside your tree or locate internal wood cracking. This is helpful knowledge to have when determining if your tree can be saved, or if it needs to be removed.
IML-RESI 300 resistance drilling provides a precise quantitative picture of internal decay. Used alongside sonic tomography imaging, it delivers a complete structural analysis that informs removal or retention decisions with confidence.

Root Mapping
Using my ArboRadix root sensing tool, I can determine how large a tree's root plate is and where large structural roots are underground. This tool is often used to determine where underground construction can occur and not extensively damage a tree's root, or to determine if a tree with suspected root damage is structurally stable.
Root mapping is essential for construction planning near established trees and for post-damage stability assessments. Commonly engaged by developers, municipal planners, and property owners before major site work begins.
